Pupils enjoy exciting residential adventures
This month, a number of Key Stage 2 pupils at Broom Leys Primary School took part in a range of immersive residential trips across the country.First, our Year 4 pupils had the opportunity to participate in a two-night stay at Beaumanor Hall in Loughborough. While there, they enjoyed a variety of exciting activities, including archery, canoeing and wall climbing. Those who were brave enough also had great fun exploring the cold cellars in the dark!
Next, it was the turn of our Year 6 cohort, who headed off to Boreatton Park – a PGL centre in Shropshire – for a week-long adventure.
During their stay, pupils had the chance to try a wide range of activities, many for the first time. They took to the water in canoes, soared down the abseiling wall, tackled the high ropes course, unleashed their inner Robin Hood on the archery range and climbed both indoor and outdoor walls.
The children had a fantastic time on both trips. These experiences not only challenged them in positive ways but also helped build resilience and provided opportunities to strengthen friendships through teamwork and collaboration.
