Inspiring Young Minds: Broom Leys Embraces STEM Learning

At Broom Leys Primary School, we are delighted to have been accredited with the STEM Learning I Belong Programme.

The initiative – which is ran through the National Centre for Computing Education – aims to inspire and empower young girls to pursue a future within a computer science, or STEM-related, industry.

By fostering a sense of belonging and confidence in computing from an early age, the project aims to challenge gender-based stereotypes regarding computing which, traditionally, has always been a male-dominated field. Our participation in this programme reflects our commitment to providing equal opportunities for all students and encouraging them to explore their interests in STEM.

We believe that by nurturing these skills and interests early on, we can help shape the next generation of innovators and leaders in technology.
